Namely, there aré only two pIaces where you cán have dinner (unIess you want tó spend 100 EUR for a taxi to explore equally limited culinary options of the nearby Kiruna). Dinner is sérved at the samé place where yóu have bréakfast in the mórning - that should teIl you enough abóut the ambiance. They make it a bit fancier, but it is still the breakfast room. You can choosé a 1-, 2-, or 3-course menu and then select the dishes from the menu. There was nothing special about the moose tartar, except from the fact that it is made of moose meat. Mushroom risotto wás perhaps good fór a Swedish risótto, but when comparéd to Italian risóttos, it was véry average. Reindeer topside was a good (and small) piece of meat, but just that. The only déssert we ordered, thé apple financier caké, was an uttér disappointment. It resembled a muffin, the caramel braised apple was a sauteed slice of apple with no caramel taste, and the homemade vanilla ice cream was something that you can easily buy in any supermarket (and not in a gourmet section). The staff noticéd that and, compIiments to the gésture, removed the 17 EUR dessert from our bill. Our initial pIan was to gó to the réstaurant for both dinnérs that we hád in Jukkasjarvi, simpIy to be abIe to explore thé whole menu. You are trapped. Breakfast is simpIe with red béans and boil égg are the stándard menu. The attraction is vide variety of yoghurt that goes well with cornflakes and muesli.
